In Flox class we been creating a advert calender for christmas. In about a few weeks we are going to be achieving these things Nice to each other and keeping safe. Here is mine.

WALT use precise nouns to add detail to our reader

This week in writing we have been using precise nouns to make our writing more specific for the reader.

We took a paragraph and changed the nouns from general nouns to precise nouns.

Here is an example.

In the weekend I had to do lots of shopping with my Mum. We went to the shop diary to get some food grocery. We also went to look for a present for my cousin’s birthday. I had to choose between a doll barbie and a soft toy Teddy bear. After that we went to the shop mall to buy some clothes, I got two new items jewelry and a pair of shoes slippers. Because I had been so good, mum took me to the shop to buy an ice block slushy. Lucky me!

Te Reo Māori Conversation

WALT have a conversation in te reo Māori.




In Flox Class we have been learning to have a conversation in Māori. We used i Movie to make our te reo Māori conversation. Have a look at this one. We used te reo Māori to create our movies. In Flox class we are still learning Māori and pronounce them. I hope you enjoy the video.

Camp Movie

This week we have been making movies trailers using iMovie. This is a trailer that I made on the iPad.

Camp

I am most excited about learning how to do archery in camp. I am most nervous about sleeping in camp without any of my family but I still have my cousin with me when we are going to camp. I think camp will be surprising and exciting when we do some activities.

This is my student conferences goal.

Term 3

This term I am looking forward going to camp and do some activities there. I'm also looking forward to learning new things this term. Reading is mostly what I am looking forward to learning this term.

My writing learning goal

This term in writing i am going to be learning my two goals

They are:

Join some ideas using conjunctions such as: when, while, after, since, until, if, because, although, that.
Improve my writing so that it is more enjoyable/informative for the reader.

I will know I have achieved these goals when I can show evidence of these in my writing.

We are learning to write an information report about a topic related tooo space.

By Friday 5 June you need to have written and edited your information report on a topic related to space so that it is ready to be published.

Uranus has rings around it. Some people thinks that Uranus got its ring during a crash. Uranus was officially discovered by Sir William Herschel in 1781.

Uranus is known as a giant ice planet  Uranus has mantle( Water, ammonia, methane ices).

When you look at Uranus may look like it's blue when you look at it from a telescope but it is actually it is grey and  light brown. Uranus is the only planet with a name sure to elicit giggles. The proper way to say the name is YOOR--un--nus. It was almost named "Georgium Sidus" to honor an English king, but tradition prevailed and in 1850 the planet got its frequently mispronounced mythological name.

Uranus colour is like a wool that has been used as a sock, quilt, scarf and a gloves. It might look different to the other people.
